VVIPs vs. OKP

07 April 2017 // Friday

So its the start of my three day work pattern today. Short and sweet last PNH for the day and when I reported to the briefing room was surprised to find out am flying with three stewards!

The load for both ways was pretty full and what's more there's VVIP on the first sector in jcl so I kinda saw it coming that cic would put me in front. Call it sexism or whatsoever, there is this tendency of human belief that girls can actually do better in jcl than guys.

Well bad news before we even got on the plane; our incoming aircraft was delayed. Our flight departs at 1635h, so we are supposed to be in the aircraft at least an hour before, but our aircraft only arrived from Shenzhen at 1555h. Another set of MI crew was at the same gate as us, had their flight delayed too. We were all at the last gate F60 because we all had VVIPs on flight. They had the Crown Prince of Johor, while we had the wife of PNH's prime minister.

When we finally commenced boarding for passengers after god knows how long, the VVIPs came in last and the first thing I spotted was the three Hermes bag they were carrying; all crocodile skin. As expected they refused to put their bags up for take off so they asked us to keep it somewhere secure for them.

But after take off they're really nice since they asked for nothing except a glass of water. Going up load was only 9 and despite not all eating me and cic were busy like mad till we had to sit down to catch our breath.

Not looking forward to the full 12 in jcl coming back.

Anyways the station manager of PNH was going to be on our flight back and he told us how a PPS in EY was supposed to get an upgrade to JCL since it was his birthday today but was denied because JCL was full. We all felt bad for him but thankfully one passenger in JCL didn't turn up eventually so this PPS was really lucky.

There were a whole family of about 8 locals with three kids who are exactly the "one kind" passengers (gonna call them OKP from now on) I always mention. When I first took order from Row 1DF, the father and son both said they didn't want to have any food and only asked for two drinks from me. When I was serving Row 2DF their food (mind you they are one family), the father from 1F turned to tell me he "wants one too" while pointing to the beef choice I was serving. I clarified with him again whether he wants the beef choice or the chicken and he told me "same one" so I assumed it was beef. I double confirmed is it one or two sets because his child was there but he said one.

When I prepared another set of beef and was serving him he asked for one more for his son.

......

SO.... I took another set for the son. And guess what? On collection, they never touched the meals the littlest bit. So why waste my time?

And not to mention how one of my jcl lady brought me to EY JUST to tell me 5ABC and 6ABC are all her children.

VVIPs vs. OKPs... You decide.
